In May 2013, I went to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the Berkshire Hathaway AGM. Berkshire Hathaway is run by Warren Buffett, one of my business and investment heroes. This AGM is different in that it is spread over an 8 hour period and is attended by thousands of shareholders with a very festive atmosphere. Attending the AGM was an opportunity to reflect on the long-term business philosophy which has worked so well for the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, and which we hope to be able to emulate in our company.
