In August 2014 we teamed up with our partner, Building Energy, to submit a number of projects under Round 4 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP) run by the Department of Energy. In April 2015, two of the projects we submitted were announced as preferred bidders under Round 4 of the REIPPP. Roggeveld Wind Farm is a 138 MW wind project situated between Sutherland and Laingsburg in the Northern Cape. Kruisvallei Hydro is a 4.7 MW hydro project along the Orange River using the flows released from the Vanderkloof dam. We are pleased that our projects will make a contribution towards increasing the supply of power in South Africa and that this power will be generated from clean and renewable sources. Our next task is to work towards the achievement of financial close for these two projects after which construction can begin.
